Dr. Ana Cojocaru is a Board-certified specialist in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine. A graduate of Carol Davila University of Medicine in Bucharest, Romania, Dr. Cojocaru’s medical training has included Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, post-doctoral research at the University of Vermont Lung Center, and a Pulmonary/Critical Care Fellowship at UMass-Worcester. She serves as the Division Chief for Prima CARE’s Lung Center, the Director of the Lung Center’s Dyspnea Clinic, and is passionate about evidence-based medicine and teaching.
Dr. Ibrahim Eid is Board-certified in both Vascular Surgeon and Internal Medicine, and is a recognized leader in the worlds of patient engagement, patient experience, and shared decision-making. Dr. Eid was the Founder and currently serves at the Chairman of the Board of Santovia, an innovative healthcare technology platform specializing in patient education, decision-making tools, and real-time reporting of patient experience.
Dr. Eid is a graduate of the American University of Beirut and trained at New York University, SUNY-Downstate, and Temple University. He is skilled in open and endovascular surgical procedures and in diagnostic vascular imaging. He has been the Division Chief for Prima CARE’s Center for Vascular Diseases since 2002 and is Division Chief for Vascular Surgery at Roger Williams Medical Center.
Dr. Carolyn Fruci is a Board-certified specialist in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine and has a PhD in Pharmacology. A graduate of Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, Dr. Fruci trained in Internal Medicine at Beth Israel-Deaconess and in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the Massachusetts General Hospital. She serves as the Director of the Saint Anne’s Hospital Pulmonary Division and their Intensive Care Unit. Dr. Fruci has technical expertise in endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) and Navigational Bronchoscopy and has always been an advocate for quality and process improvement in the delivery of medical care. She remains actively involved in medical education at Brown University while practicing at Prima CARE.
Dr. Christopher Joncas is a Board-certified specialist in Internal Medicine, and has been a member of the Fall River medical community for 20 years. Dr. Joncas earned his medical degree and trained in Internal Medicine at the University of Massachusetts School of Medicine in Worcester. His expertise includes Hospice and Palliative Care Medicine, and he currently serves as the Medical Director at Catholic Memorial Home and as Director of the Prima CARE Home Care program.
Dr. Michael Campbell is a Board-certified specialist in Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment. Dr. Campbell is a graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and trained in Family Medicine while serving in the U. S. Army in Fort Benning, Georgia. He practiced in the Army Health Clinic in Wiesbaden, West Germany prior to his arrival in Fall River and is a member of the Army National Guard. Dr. Campbell is dedicated to excellent and cost-effective medical care.
Dr. Martin Fogle is a Board-certified specialist in Vascular Surgery, currently serving as the Chief Medical Officer of Prima CARE, P.C. Dr. Fogle is a graduate of the University of California, San Francisco, and trained in General and Vascular Surgery at Brigham & Women’s Hospital. Dr. Fogle has a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Management from the Harvard School of Public Health and is a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI). He serves as the Chief Medical Officer of the PC Institute for Medical Education.
Dr. Fogle is enthusiastic about teaching at all levels of medical training. He has been an instructor in vascular ultrasound and in vascular surgical techniques throughout his career, both in academic training centers
Dr. Ravi Chander is a Board-certified cardiologist with extensive experience in cardiac catheterization, cardiac imaging (CT, echocardiography, and nuclear imaging), and implantation of cardiac devices. Dr. Chander is a graduate of Indira Ghandi Medical College of Nagpur University, with postgraduate training in Ireland, at Yale University, and at Albany Medical Center. He maintains an active clinical cardiology practice and is recognized by numerous professional societies and organizations for his expertise in cardiac rhythm disturbances and cardiac testing.
Dr. Bianca Thorpe is a Board-certified Family Medicine physician. She is a graduate of the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency in Family Medicine in the Memorial Hospital program affiliated with Brown University. In addition to her active clinical practice, Dr. Thorpe is a leader and educator who is involved in community health programs and in the education of medical professionals at various levels of medical training. Her practice is evidence-based and efficient, while embracing her own compassionate and humanistic approach to healthcare and wellness.
Dr. Brad Kney is a Board-certified Family Medicine physician, who practiced in Fall River for 30 years before assuming the role of Prima CARE’s eClinicalworks Educator and Liaison recently. Dr. Kney is a graduate of Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and he trained in Family Medicine at Case Western Reserve University. His passion and skill for medical education have perfectly complemented his long-standing interest in computers and digital education platforms. Dr. Kney’s patient education website has been an important resource for his patients, focusing on wellness, disease education, diet, exercise, and good health for ourselves and our planet. His efforts now include clear and concise on-line training modules and both group- and on-on-one training sessions for medical professionals using an electronic medical record.
Richard Mateus is the Chief Executive Officer of the PC Institute for Medical Education. He also serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Prima CARE, P.C., a large multispecialty medical practice, based in Fall River, and has been a leader of the corporation since its founding in 1996. Mr. Mateus earned a degree in Finance from Salve Regina University and has been active in Fall River business and real estate affairs, serving on the Zoning Board of Appeals. Not only mentoring many other individuals during his career, he has proven managerial expertise and a keen sense for the “business of medicine”.
Peter Guresh is the Chief Operating Officer of the PC Institute for Medical Education. He also serves as the Director of Diagnostic Services of Prima CARE, P.C. Mr. Guresh has a long and distinguished career in allied medical fields and in medical administration. He graduated from Boston University with a degree in Occupational Therapy and earned a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration from Alfred University. He has held leadership positions in Physical Medicine and other Allied Health Services at Danbury Hospital and in the Southcoast Health system.
Samuel Cordeiro is the Chief Financial Officer of the PC Institute for Medical Education. He also serves as the Chief Financial Officer for Prima CARE, P.C. Mr. Cordeiro earned a degree in Accounting & Finance from UMass-Dartmouth and a Master’s of Business Administration from Bryant University. He has held various financial administrative positions at Prima CARE since 2007, and assumed the role of CFO 2018. He has served as the Controller of Santovia and Property Manager for parcels owned by various Limited Liability Companies in Fall River. Mr. Cordeiro is an accomplished financial manager in his own right, and has also been a mentor to similarly-motivated individuals along their career paths.
Dr. Hoover sets the strategic vision and direction for the instructional framework and pedagogical approach to PC Institute’s education programs. He is an expert on curriculum, instructional design, and pedagogy. Dr. Hoover collaborates with industry, higher education, and accrediting bodies to create unique, individualized learning programs. His learning and training modules achieve desired learning outcomes by incorporating virtual reality, hands-on training, gamification, live streaming, and adaptive learning technologies.
Victor leads the coordination and execution of all clinical and simulation education on-site at PCI. Victor also performs assessments and support of external vendors to ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Prior to his current role, Victor worked with Kelly Services and Johnson & Johnson where he was able to gain experience with specimen management, facility management, compliance, medical device industry and managed a team of 70+ throughout the country. Victor has 13 years of experience in the Bio-skills industry and 12 years of funeral services.
Gordon brings more than 4 decades of video production experience including many years in Network Broadcasting. Gordon continues to bring his level of Broadcast Video experience to MD&D and Professional Education supporting Surgical Technique Training and many other In-Service needs for companies like Johnson & Johnson, Smith & Nephew, Biomet-Zimmer, Karl Storz and many others including medical centers.
